Indian stereotypes? Yes, India attracts many stereotypes. There is a long list. Indians hate most of the stereotypes about them. Let’s see what are those stereotypes.
1) Indians are poor but happy
This stereotype is so common about Indians. Our media always shows India as the most poor country of the world yet their people are so happy. Hopefully nobody missed the poor happy children having fun around in the video of ‘Hymn for the Weekend’, a song by Rihanna which was filmed in India. The poverty level is high in India but people say Indians are still very humble and kind regardless of all the factors. Many rich people live in India and the situation is getting better day by day there, as India is one of the developing country of the world. Also now Indians are more aware and conscious of their status, houses, education and appearances.
2) Indians worship so many Gods!
Indians worship like millions of Gods and Goddesses with so many heads and arms. Well Indians have different Gods for different things. Like one is for good fortune the other one for good health. There are around 330 millions Gods and Goddesses in India which they worship according to their needs and wants.

4) Indians are vegetarian
Chicken, meat, be it any animal. Beef mutton anything. It is prohibited in their religion. When they are not allowed to eat meat they are only left with vegetables and fruits. So automatically all the Indians are vegetarians. Well many people in India now have started to eat poultry and meat. I have a friend in India who eats everything except Beef, of course!
5) Dancing and singing is all Indians know
Well this is so true. It can be even seen in Indian movies. The children take classes regularly of singing and dancing to improve their skills. They are also trained to play different instruments. You will often find dancing and singing shows and programs on their channels.
6) Indians speak Hindi and English
